How long does a food tour take?
The duration of the tours varies per tour you choose. Please see each individual tour for their specific details.
Do I need to book in advance?
All bookings must be made in advance. We advise you to book ideally at least 2 weeks in advance. We of course welcome last minute bookings, subject to availability.
Where do the tours start or end?
This depends on which tour you will take, but normally our starting point is also our end point, or close to it. Please see each individual tour for their specific details.
Can I book a private tour for my group?
Yes we also offer private tours with a minimum required number of 4 people in the group. You can of course customize your private experience.

How much walking is there during a tour?
Our food tours in Barcelona will cover about 2 km (1.2 miles) including stops and we will walk at a moderate pace. Your foodie guide will always take into account everyone’s walking pace. All our foodie stops during the tour are quite close to each other. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to sit down and rest and to use toilet facilities.
What do I need to bring?
Please wear casual clothing and comfortable walking shoes. Depending on the time of year you might want to bring protective clothing for wind and/or rain. We encourage you to bring water with you, especially during summer months.
Are there (many) stairs during the tours?
Barcelona is a medieval city with some cobbled stone streets. There are some steps along the way. During our tours you might encounter some steps along the way too, although again there won’t be too many.
Are tours still held in bad weather?
Yes, our tours run rain and shine. In case of heavy storms or dramatic weather circumstances, we will try to contact you on time and see if we can reschedule the tour. We kindly advise to check the weather forecast before the tour and to dress appropriately or take an umbrella or poncho if necessary.
How will I recognize my tour guide?
Your local foodie guide will be waiting at the tour meeting point 5-10 minutes before your tour start time. They will be holding up a sign Eye On Food Tours and have a nametag with our company name and the name of the guide.
How much food is there?
Our half day tours will leave you satisfied enough to skip lunch.
Our full day tours have lunch included.
Everyone can enjoy as little or as much food as they like. You could always share your portions with each other. This is part of the experience to make new friends during our Girona Food Tours. We do recommend to eat a little breakfast before the tour.
How many locations are there during a tour?
The location stops vary per tour please see each individual tour description for the details. You will find more information per tour on the Our tours page!
What kinds of drinks are there served during a tour?
At the start of the tour each foodie traveler will receive a small bottle of water from our foodie guide to bring on the tour. Then at the first stop a fresh cup of Spanish coffee. During a food tour there are some stops that will include Cava, Wine and/or other alcoholic tastings. If you cannot or do not want to try an alcoholic beverage, please let us know in advance.
What if I’m under 18 or I don’t drink alcohol?
This is not a problem. Please notify us in advance of your alcohol restrictions or if you are under the age of 18 and we will provide some non-alcoholic drinks.
Do we go to restaurants?
This depends on the tour but usually 3 to 6 and visits local shops, markets or eateries. Please check your tour with all the stops information
Can I shop during a tour?
We kindly ask you to wait with any shopping for after the tour, unless your foodie guide informs you about some free time to buy some local products or souvenirs.
How do I pay for my Eye On Food Tour?
Please note that to participate in one of our tours you always need to book in advance. Upon confirmation by Eye On Food Tours you will receive a voucher by email for your participation with the correct amount to pay and possible payment methods.
What is the minimum and maximum number of participants?
We run our tours with a minimum of 2 participants and maximum of 12. This allows us to get into small local taverns. For tailor-made tours or large groups other requirements might apply. Please contact us for a proposal for your group, based on your group size and gastronomic interests.

Are the tours suitable for children?
Of course they are, you can introduce your children to different places, cultures and tastes. As children´s tummy´s are often smaller, we offer a 10% discount for children under the age of 12. For kids under 5 years old we recommend to bring their own food and snacks. Therefore we will not charge them.
Can I bring a stroller with me?
Not on all tours. Please get in touch with our team before bringing a stroller on your tour. Some sites will not allow you to bring a stroller inside, or may simply be too small. During our day tour, we may not have sufficient space within the vehicle. Please let us know in advance so we can find a solution for you.
Is tipping obligatory?
If you enjoyed your tour and feel like you received great service from your guide, it is customary and much appreciated to leave a tip at the end of the tour.
I’m pregnant, can I still come on a tour?
Yes, we welcome you to join our tours. Please let us know of your pregnancy and any food restrictions before your booking, so we can make sure that we can adapt your tastings.
What If I’m running late to my tour?
