It is best to plan on arriving 10-15 minutes before the tour begins
Usually, our tours end at different locations than where they began. Please see each individual tour for details
Your local foodie guide will be waiting at the tour meeting point 10-15 minutes before your tour start time. They will be holding up a sign that says “Eye On Food Tours” and will also have a nametag or T-shirt with our company name, along with the name of the guide
Our tours start on time and each of the restaurants and food establishments that we visit will expect us to arrive at a set time. When you book a tour, you will receive an email confirmation from us with the meeting details for that tour. If you are running out late to your tour, please communicate with us immediately at info@adriand97.sg-host.com or call us at +34 656 183 145 and we will do our best to catch you up with the group (though at this point we cannot guarantee you’ll be able to meet up with the group)
Please wear casual clothing and, most importantly, comfortable shoes. Depending on the time of year you might want to bring protective clothing for wind and/or rain. We encourage you to bring water and sunscreen with you, especially during the summer months. Please check the weather conditions at the time of your tour
Our “Barcelona, Love at First Taste” tour is suitable for kids of all ages. It is a great opportunity to introduce your children to different places and tastes. Just keep in mind that we will be walking and talking for a few hours, and not all kids have the same attention span. We encourage parents to consider whether the tour is appropriate for their child.
For kids under 5 years of age, we recommend that you bring your own food and snacks for your child’s personal tastes and needs. Therefore, we will not charge for children under 5
Most places allow strollers inside their establishments, but some old bars and restaurants are simply too small to accommodate them. Please let us know in advance before you bring a stroller on your tour so that we can notify you when making the reservations.
Please be aware that some metro stations do not have elevators. For a map on the metro stations with accessibility, go here: https://www.mapametrobarcelona.com/mapas-metro/mapa-metro-barcelona-accesibilidad-2021.png
Most places allow wheelchairs and walkers inside their establishments. Just know that some old bars and restaurants are too small and as such, their space is limited. If you or someone in your group is handicapped, please let us know in the comments when you book any of our tours so that we can make sure to accommodate you
Yes, bathrooms are available during the tours at selected food-tasting locations
We love our furry friends, however some of the establishments we visit do not allow dogs. We recommend contacting us in advance in case you need to come along with your dog. We will work on finding the best solution for you.
You are in luck! Regardless of rain or snow, our tours will be conducted as scheduled. We recommend that you check the weather forecast before the tour so that you can dress appropriately or take an umbrella or poncho if necessary. Thankfully, Barcelona is known for its fantastic weather, so it shouldn’t be an issue!
Absolutely not! Our tours combine historical facts and local culture along with culinary insights into a unique walking experience through old Barcelona neighborhoods, small streets and alleyways. You will learn a lot about eating our locally made traditional food!
We kindly ask that you wait to shop until after the tour, unless your guide informs you about some free time to buy some local products or souvenirs. If you see a shop that you’d like to return to, feel free to ask your guide and they would be happy to give you directions there after the tour has ended
We strongly encourage you to bring it! You are guaranteed to have a fun and memorable experience on our tour. We would love you to take photos or videos to help you create lasting memories. And we would love it if you would share your experience with us by tagging any pictures with our social media accounts!
While extending gratuities is not mandatory, if you enjoyed your tour and feel that you received great service from your guide, it is customary (and much appreciated) to leave a tip at the end of the tour. The standard gratuity in the tour industry is 10-15%
